Welcome to The Musicman's page.

Ok! So the weeks became months! (I've been busy) I have been using this space to experiment with things for other sites such as Flash animations, Audio files, mp3 players and a host of other stuff.
In and amongst doing sites for other people I have been writing stories, songs and music some of which, at least in part, I shall be sharing with you on here!

So, Since you have been kind enough to visit me I had better introduce myself.

A brief biography:-
(has it been a long life or does it just feel that way sometime?):-
My Sunday name is Colin but I answer to most things especially if it is meal time.

I got my musical education in the folk clubs around Manchester in the early 70s before moving on to the club and cabaret scene playing with local bands and as a solo act.

Other commitments meant that I had to drop out of the scene for a while but came back in the 80's as a founder member of The Craft Village Buskers when I joined forces with fellow musician/ singer/songwriter Steve Harding.

We enjoyed moderate success playing craft fairs, shopping malls and even vintage car events!
We wrote, recorded and released two records on own label, E.S.O Records.
Steve left the area in the mid 80's and sadly I lost touch with him.
(be nice to hear from you if you read this Steve!)

It was around this time I started to compose music for educational videos. I would love to do a full film score! ( Just in case Mr Spielberg reads this!!!)

In the mid 90's I turned my attention to "back stage" activities working as a sound engineer with live bands and in local theatre. I was often invited to compose original music for plays, Second From Last In The Sack Race, The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe, Hobson's Choice and one of my own plays, In At The Deep End to name just a few.

In recent times I often work with fellow composer Rob Paxman. We have worked on several projects including Of Gods and Heroes, an educational drama/musical project about The Vikings aimed at Junior schools.

I have had a long and happy association with Buzz Hawkins, the man behind The Bradshaws. Besides contributing to my grey hair, this has added several other new strings to my bow including, but not limited to, working on his Bradshaws web site and experimentation with various forms of animation.

Following a brief stay in America I now live in semi retirement in Yorkshire
